Macmillan Cancer Support fundraising

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer, their families and carers. As treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives.
Macmillan helps people affected by cancer with support every step of the way. They fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals to provide practical support at home. This may provide some precious time off for a carer, a lift to hospital or emotional support by listening, advising and share information though a cancer support specialist. Some people need financial help to cope with the extra costs cancer can bring, so they give benefits advice, and grants for anything from heating bills to travel costs. Together Macmillan listen, learn and act to help people live with cancer. Please visit the Macmillan website for more information.
Members of Braintree Rivers Rotary Club gave their time for free to raise £276 at Tesco Marks Farm, Braintree, in support of the work of Macmillan. Many thanks to all those who donated.
