The Rotary Shoebox Scheme

The scheme started in 1994, when Rotary Clubs in District 1280 (North and West of Manchester and the Isle of Man) started collecting shoeboxes full of gifts for the people of Iasi in Romania. Since 1994, the scheme has grown and now, every District in RIBI is involved. Currently, some 60,000 boxes each year are being sent to countries including Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Belarus, Albania, Moldova, Poland, Croatia and Kosovo.
Boxes can be filled with Children's Toys or Household items, such as hand soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, envelopes, paper, pens etc.

Shoebox Donation
By working directly with local Rotary Clubs and aid organisations such as International Aid Trust and Hope & Homes, every Shoebox goes to a deserving child or family.
